Our Farm

• Goal One--Grow fresh fruit and vegetables.
  • On our farm we sell only what we raise, so you can be assured of freshness since our produce is grown, harvested, and sold right on our farm.
  • In comparison, grocery stores bring you produce that is harvested, many times, in other states and countries. Packing, storage, and shipping add even more time before the produce arrives at the local store. The produce is losing vitamins and micronutrients during this entire long trip!
• Goal Two--Grow great tasting fruit and vegetables.
  • Along with freshness comes great taste.
  • Because we don't have to worry about shipping, we can chose varieties that taste great.
  • The better the taste--the more you consume--on your way to five a day!
• Goal Three--Contect you to where your fruit and vegetables are grown.
  • Visit the farm during one of our u-pick seasons. We welcome you to the farm with your family. Learn where your food comes from and enjoy our farm.
  • Visit the produce stand during the season. In addition to our knowledgeable staff at the stand, many times Richard is there bringing the fresh produce to the stand out of our fields. We are happy to answer your questions about food and the farm.

Who We Are

Our farm, which originally was part of The Western Reserve, was homesteaded by the Bacon family. The Aufdenkampes purchased the property from the Bacons in 1946.

For years, Ray (Dad) raised fruits and vegetables with his father and brother. They marketed the fresh produce at the Cleveland Produce Terminal.

Ray and his wife, Dorothy, became farming partners with their son Richard in the early 1990's, farming 20 acres. Selling the produce at the roadside gives the farm a unique advantage of getting the produce fresh from the field directly to you daily.
